Legislative
Breakfast & Lobby Day
In 1994, The Georgia Breast Cancer Coalition Fund initiated a
specialized annual event designed to bring together legislators and
breast cancer survivors. For 16 years, this unique event featured a
breakfast where Georgia’s elected officials could hear from survivors
about breast cancer issues that were important to them. GBCCF also
honored those legislators whose efforts have advanced the fight against
breast cancer. In 2011, GBCCF will turn a new page and host a series of
luncheons that foster an environment where legislators, survivors and
advocates can partner in the fight against breast cancer. Details will
be announced soon.

National Breast Cancer Coalition Annual Advocacy Conference & Lobby Day
It takes more
than awareness to end breast cancer. Each spring, NBCC
hosts its advocacy conference featuring informative sessions on the
latest breast cancer news and science. Participants learn how to
influence decision-makers with proven advocacy strategies and are
empowered to take on a meaningful role in finding a cause and a cure for
breast cancer.

October
8, 2010 - National Denim Day
In 1996, Lee
Jeans invited companies to go casual for a cause, inviting employees to
wear their jeans to work on Denim Day in exchange for a $5 contribution
to the fight against breast cancer. The underlying concept behind the
program was simple - by convincing enough people to take one small step,
together they could reach an incredible goal. That year, $1.4 million
was raised. Since then, more than $75 million has been raised. Your
company can help raise funds for this worthy cause. To initiate a
program in partnership with GBCCF, please contact our office.
