Advocacy

All of our advocacy efforts are instrumental in the fight against breast cancer.  GBCCF is dedicated to bringing awareness to issues impacting families who are living with and dying from breast cancer.  By responding quickly to critical legislative and public policy issues on breast cancer, our advocates work to demand funding for research programs that will help us find the causes of breast cancer and bring us closer toward a cure.

Advocacy Alert

Each year, we ask the House and the Senate to sign on to letters to the DOD appropriations committee leadership to support the Department of Defense (DOD) peer-reviewed Breast Cancer Research Program. This year's House of Representatives letter in support has already begun circulating. We are asking that the program be level-funded at $150 million and we need your help!

Please contact your state Representatives TODAY to urge them to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer by signing the letter. We especially would like to reach out to Georgia's Rep. Hank Johnson (D-4th), Rep. Tom Price (R-6th), Rep. John Barrow (D-12th) and Rep. Sanford Bishop (D-2nd). Thank you in advance for joining us in the fight to end breast cancer!
